Wash chicken.   Put s e veral pats of b u tter or margarine on skin.   Sprinkle with salt and pepper.   Bake in 3 50 degree oven for a pproximately 1 hour.

Baste chi c ken after 30 minutes.   Rice - follow directions on Uncle Ben's boil-

in-bag rice - its quick, easy and delicious.   Gravy - when chicken is done,

remove it from the p an.   Heat d rippings over medium heat on stove. Thoroughly mix 1/4 cup flour with 1/2 cup of water.   Gradually add this to chicken drippings as they boil.   You may not need all the flour and water mixture, mix to tast e .   Boil slow l y for 10 minutes on l o w.   Serve hot.

CRUNCHY CHICKEN CASSE RO LE

 

 

 

 

 

2 cans boned chicken, drained

1 can cre a m of chic k e n soup

1 soup can evaporated milk

1 sm. can mushrooms, drained

1 1/4 c. minute rice

1/2 stick margarine, sliced

1/2 c. slivered almonds

 

 

Mix and place in casserole dish.   Bake 45 minutes at 375 degrees.
