1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. cranberry-ras p berry cocktail

1/8 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. allspice

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

 

 

Broil chicken in a 9 x 13 inch baking d i sh to brown and partially cook. Bake at

350 degrees for 30 minutes.   Drain t h e liquid.   Cook the rest of the ingredients in a saucepan.   Pour over the chicken and cook 1/2 hour more.

------------------- - ---------------- CHICKEN AND CRAB VALENTINE

 

 

 

Mix together: 3 c. c ooked chi c ken bro k en in p i eces

2 c. boned crab (2, 4 oz. pkgs.)

8 slices b a con, cooked crisp

 

 

In a double boiler melt 6 tablespoons butter.   Stir i n 6 table s poons flour. Add: 1 1/2 c. chicken broth

3/4 tsp. paprika

1 sm. clove garlic

5 drops T a basco

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

1 1/2 tsp. salt

 

 

Cover and cook 10-15 minutes stirring o f ten.   Add 1 cup sour cream.   Mix and heat thro u gh.   Add chicken, crab and crumbled bac o n.   Ser v e w i th peas and rice tossed with glazed walnuts.   To g l aze walnuts:   Melt in a skillet:   2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons W o rcestershire sauce.   Add waln u ts

and stir until walnuts are gla z ed.   Mix with peas and rice.
