1 c. milk

Salt & pepper to taste

1 tbsp. ch o pped onion

3 c. cut up chic k en

1 can who l e ker n el c o rn

3/4 c. grated sharp cheese

1/4 c. pimiento

 

 

Make whi t e sauce (f i rst 6 ingredients).   Mix all ingredients together and put

in casserole dish.   Put buttered b r ead crumbs on top and bake at 350

degrees u n til bubbl y .

BUSY DAY CHICKEN & RICE

 

 

 

 

 

1 c. uncoo k ed rice

1 chic k e n, cut up

1 stick oleo

1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

4 c. boiling water

Salt & pepper to taste

 

 

preheat o v en to 350 degrees.   Grease b o ttom of 13"x9"x2" pan.   Cover bottom evenly with r ice.   Arra n ge chic k en pieces on rice.   Dot with oleo.

Sprinkle d ry onion soup over all.   Salt and pepper to taste.   Pour boiling water over all.   B ake 1 hour.   If browner c h ick e n is d e sir e d brown b e fore placing on rice.
